Welcome to the Ambassador Apartments
Enjoy your morning coffee in the Ambassador’s elegant garden or dine at one of the on-site restaurants, including the Ambassador Dining Room and Sam’s Canterbury Cafe. The Ambassador is close to shopping, restaurants and public transportation as well as within walking distance of Johns Hopkins University, the Baltimore Museum of Art and Union Memorial Hospital.
With its stately presence on Canterbury Road, the Ambassador Apartments was designed by architect Louis T. Rouleau and completed by the Mullan Company in 1930. Unlike most high-rise apartments which have very little green space, the Ambassador is surrounded by a large manicured lawn and garden with mature landscaping.
Award-Winning Dining Room
Ambassador Apartments is also the home of an award winning restaurant! One of the city’s best restaurants for many years, the Ambassador Dining Room serves elegant, sophisticated Indian food in an equally distinctive and opulent setting. The restaurant’s outdoor dining experience is very popular on a pleasant summer evening.
